cowboy poetry

it is true that you say the gods are more use to you than fairies
as i lie roofed in, screened in
softly now the light of day
the smell of the rose so false, the thorns so true
gone are the three, those sisters rare
i have to say good-night
little park that i pass through
gone before us
there is an hour of peaceful rest
i know not where
