poem for pastors

he came and took me by the hand
that strange companion came on shuffling feet
which keeps
give me
have we no shame?
i love to steal awhile away
pharaoh, king of egypt's land
i think it just splendid
braided and woven
the swan existing
i do not pray for peace
did you ever hear of
