epic poetry

there is no escape by the river
the poets tell
i loved a woman
as evening falls
be not false
under dusky laurel leaf
white foam flower, red flame flower
all within and all without me
i burn no incense
i expect you
i cannot always feel his greatness
i despise my friends more than you
