poem for pastors

let a joy keep you
a look is but a ray
in your flight
thou unrelenting past
a bird sang
give me hunger
renew the vision of delight
that year
one sweetly solemn thought
rose and amber was the sunset on the river
i love my life, but not too well
often is it not so?
a few more windy days
she must go back, she said
