child poem

on and on
often is it not so?
from floor to ceiling
earth travails
looking beyond
be not false
come down at dawn from windless hills
a bird sang
sun and wind and beat of sea
i was a goddess ere the marble found me
what shall we do now
uplifting, as the wind blew
