sad death poem

she must go back, she said
often is it not so?
when i go back to earth
how like the stars are these white, nameless faces
high-born race
earth travails
softly now the light of day
he's gone
often i think of the beautiful town
all my love for my sweet
see the tentative
roses and gold
he speaks not well
are you alive?
