acrostic poem

a mist was driving down
there were three in the meadow by the brook
i know not where
over the river, on the hill
there is no flock, however watched and tended
stay no more
grieve not for the invisible
stuff of the moon
the lightning flashed, and lifted
the ancient songs
there are three ways in which men take
when night drifts along the streets of the city
