i love you poem

in may
in halls of sleep you wandered by
we who stood
it is true that you say the gods are more use to you than fairies
though love repine, and reason chafe
at midnight
i expect you
the fragrance came
are you awake?
their beautiful hair
leave the lovely words unsaid
