baby poem

hang no wreath
with joy and wonder
dark-eyed
the saddest of the year
i had over-prepared the event
in may
the little pitiful, worn, laughing faces
royal feast was done
somewhere i read a strange, old, rusty tale
with the sunset
in your flight
