poem for dad

it was a tall young oysterman
full of tears
little park that i pass through
have you not heard
i've won the race
who loves the rain
could we but know
be in me as the eternal moods
a gleam of gold in gloom and gray
i gazed upon the glorious sky
i make my shroud, but no one knows
