lyric poetry

my son is dead and i am going blind
as i lie roofed in, screened in
sweet splendor
have we no shame?
dear wife
often is it not so?
some of the hurts you have cured
hang no wreath
days endeared to every muse
there is an hour of peaceful rest
see, they return
