romantic love poem

thou unrelenting past
beneath the warrior's helm
to what shall a woman liken her beloved
her face is fair and smooth and fine
have you heard
over the rooftops race the shadows of clouds
there by the window in the old house
sweet splendor
leave the lovely words unsaid
happiness
we break the glass whose sacred wine
i flung my soul to the air like a falcon flying
you are clear
i know what you're going to say
