anniversary poem

old wine to drink
suddenly, out of dark and leafy ways
mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam
why then, must we see?
i saw god. do you doubt it?
i've won the race
over the river they beckon to me
have you heard
dear wife
earth travails
on and on
