mom poem

above them all, looking down
day is done
i loved a woman
thou unrelenting past
happiness
i sometimes wonder if it's really true
but alas, just dreams
simplicity
i stood by the open casement
daughter, thou art come to die
desolate and lone
leave the lovely words unsaid
