mom poem

i love my life, but not too well
by the rude bridge
mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam
as it
let a joy keep you
through the broad earth's aching breast
could we but know
within this lowly grave a conqueror lies
in and of itself
i said, i have shut my heart
beautiful
mysterious night
