wedding poem

my sorrow, when she's here with me
a blue-black nubian plucking oranges
at midnight
where shall i find you
the snow whispers about me
stern cold man
gaily through the fields we danced
have you seen walking through the village
there is no escape by the river
they may talk of love in a cottage
desolate and lone
but i cannot read you now
