christian poetry

why do
could we but know
my soul goes clad in gorgeous things
old wine to drink
when freedom from her mountain height
therefore i may not
why so sad my lovely one?
i make my shroud, but no one knows
one with you
i saw the first pear
be in me as the eternal moods
a look is but a ray
in mournful numbers
