as evening falls
soft as the bed in the earth
i said, i have shut my heart
for then without
he speaks not well
suddenly, out of dark and leafy ways
friend, whose smile has come to be
in may
with joy and wonder
thou unrelenting past
a pen of steel
i am the wind that wavers
arched the flood
