christmas poems

this is the arsenal
sitting in his rocker waiting for your tea
beautiful, tragical faces
afraid no more, i say
arched the flood
out of the sparkling sea
out of me unworthy and unknown
at midnight
see, they return
tell me not
behold me, in my chiffon, gauze and tinsel
