free poetry

i love to steal awhile away
within this lowly grave a conqueror lies
a bird sang
sun and wind and beat of sea
in his guarded tent
have we no shame?
arched the flood
lo! 'tis a gala night
softly now the light of day
i saw the first pear
there is no escape by the river
