famous poem

the old west, the old time
risen from the dead
i saw him once before
as a white candle
which keeps
over the river they beckon to me
she heard the children playing in the sun
i am old and blind
burly, dozing humble-bee
i know not where
stir
had he and i but met
for truth, for love
