birthday poem

full of tears
the light withdrawn
let us express our baser passions
are you awake?
a gleam of gold in gloom and gray
doubtless i remember still
stern cold man
under dusky laurel leaf
let us plant
who will be naming the wind
a mist was driving down
he came and took me by the hand
