family poetry

therefore i may not
where shall i find you
do you hear the rain?
she was a beauty in the days
above them all, looking down
in his guarded tent
so lost
as a white candle
a blue-black nubian plucking oranges
up and down he goes
i see all human wits
the old west, the old time
i loathed you
