pastor appreciation poem

up and down he goes
i love to steal awhile away
dear wife
quietly, with reverance, in awe
sweet splendor
tell me
with her hair flaying wildly
how like the stars are these white, nameless faces
musing, between the sunset and the dark
soft as the bed in the earth
with lips blood red and heart of stone
