i miss you poem

arched the flood
desolate and lone
like eagles on up high
we lay
one by one, like leaves from a tree
wrap the earth in cloudy weather
high-born race
the swan existing
afraid no more, i say
love has been sung a thousand ways
in mournful numbers
they may talk of love in a cottage
