romantic love poem

in may
i said, i have shut my heart
we who stood
i stand in the cold gray weather
my true love from her pillow rose
softly now the light of day
thou unrelenting past
have you not heard
i am dying
i am old and blind
lived by the river-side
i shall see a star tonight
