teen poem

if it
i burn no incense
in the sphere
suddenly, out of dark and leafy ways
in september
i stood
a blue-black nubian plucking oranges
three days i heard them grieve when i lay dead
renew the vision of delight
at dawn, he said
i saw the clouds among the hills
