funeral poem

i go my way complacently
a thousand silent years ago
doubtless i remember still
i burn no incense
gone are the three, those sisters rare
who loves the rain
will you glimmer on the sea?
sun and wind and beat of sea
i had over-prepared the event
there were three in the meadow by the brook
in mournful numbers
with her hair flaying wildly
somewhere i read a strange, old, rusty tale
