math poem

i hold your heart
winged shadows sweeping by
the lightning flashed, and lifted
stay no more
god
the darkness
our pleasant moments fly
i reside at table mountain
the old songs
though love repine, and reason chafe
if i were very sure
skies they were ashen and sober
