life poetry

under a spreading chestnut tree
dark-eyed
beautiful
one by one, like leaves from a tree
the long resounding marble corridors
dear wife
she heard the children playing in the sun
bring me soft song
beneath the warrior's helm
do you hear the rain?
for truth, for love
see the tentative
so fallen
