teen poem

tell me not
a poet, having taken the bridle off his tongue
i am a woman
be not angry with me
i have come into the desert because my soul is athirst
beautiful
looking beyond
these hearts were woven of human joys and cares
have we no shame?
i am fevered
daughter, thou art come to die
