family poetry

tell me
with the meek, brown eyes
brother, i am fire
i see all human wits
the little white prayers
when the hours of day are numbered
my soul is a dark ploughed field
i shake my hair in the wind of morning
high-born race
bring me soft song
stay no more
sweet and strong
