halloween poem for kid

have you seen walking through the village
up from the meadows rich with corn
afraid no more, i say
high walls and huge
in their ragged regimentals
i loved a woman
when you come tonight
woman much missed, how you call to me, call to me
soft as the bed in the earth
high-born race
uplifting, as the wind blew
i have had one fear in my life
gone are the three, those sisters rare
in an old chamber softly lit
