wedding poem

thou unrelenting past
by the shore, by the sea
which keeps
there was never a sound beside the wood but one
i made a vow once, one only
in his guarded tent
what do i owe to you
i love my hour of wind and light
under the harvest moon
let me be sad
arched the flood
take my bracelets
