i bid them all farewell
little gate was reached at last
it was a tall young oysterman
better than granite
in the cloud-gray mornings
long has the summer sunlight shone
she burst fierce wine
dark-eyed
sweet and strong
still thirteen years
there's one that i once loved so much
we who stood
