thanksgiving poem

god
who loves the rain
from floor to ceiling
why do
i sometimes wonder if it's really true
in and of itself
i stood
on and on
moonlight deep and tender
you are clear
i have cast the world
within this lowly grave a conqueror lies
for i was a gaunt, grave councillor
