family poetry

have you not heard
the swan existing
high-born race
she limps with halting painful pace
like him whose spirit in the blaze of noon
moonlight deep and tender
a pen of steel
if it
where shall i find you
i was a goddess ere the marble found me
weak-winged is song
were it not for that singular smell
one with you
