suicide poem

i reside at table mountain
sun and wind and beat of sea
i shall see a star tonight
i bid them all farewell
the mountains they are silent folk
once this soft turf
in and of itself
risen from the dead
in their ragged regimentals
as a naked man i go
the meadow was creeping
