urdu poetry

earth travails
up to her chamber window
listen
we who stood
if i had known how narrow a prison is love
sadly speaking
rising moon has hid the stars
high walls and huge
when i looked into your eyes
the little pitiful, worn, laughing faces
a gleam of gold in gloom and gray
