romantic love poem

i loved a woman
i have had one fear in my life
that year
the poets tell
along a river-side
i saw with open eyes
i shake my hair in the wind of morning
do you hear the rain?
melancholy, blue it was
at dawn, he said
we who stood
star-dust and vaporous light
