dark poetry

for then without
the darkness
noises that strive to tear
love has been sung a thousand ways
risen from the dead
i saw you hunched and shivering on the stones
the sun is up
those black eyes i once so praised
i saw with open eyes
he speaks not well
my son is dead and i am going blind
