best love poem

i said
leave the lovely words unsaid
shadows lay along broadway
all those treasures that lie
of sun nor stars
skies they were ashen and sober
it is true that you say the gods are more use to you than fairies
lady, your heart has turned to dust
all down the years
tell me
though i am little as all little things
very well, you liberals
splendid and terrible your love
the endless, foolish merriment of stars
