black poetry

one sweetly solemn thought
storm
rocked in the cradle of the deep
dark-eyed
suddenly, out of dark and leafy ways
at dawn, he said
in new york harbor
last night the full moon laid a cloth of white
from floor to ceiling
moonlight deep and tender
