break up poem

sleep, gray brother of death
tell me not
lady, your heart has turned to dust
give me hunger
the darkness steals the forms of all the queens
i am singing to you
i am weary of being bitter and weary of being wise
babylon-where i go dreaming
i am fevered
i loathed you
