i miss you poem

why do
storm
roses and gold
in mournful numbers
passing through huddled and ugly walls
the shadows of the ships
if the red slayer think he slays
you are clear
up from the south at break of day
i am old and blind
i saw god. do you doubt it?
some of the hurts you have cured
