birthday poetry

the fragrance came
made up of loveliness alone
the little pitiful, worn, laughing faces
evidenced in the glimmer in your eyes
sweet and strong
the air is full of dawn and spring
i am fevered
and how could you dream of meeting
when i go back to earth
