christmas poetry

under a spreading chestnut tree
you are clear
they ask me where i've been
quietly, with reverance, in awe
the light withdrawn
i am dying
the old songs
who is the runner in the skies
often i think of the beautiful town
the agony of having too much power
brother, i am fire
