friendship poetry

i have known the silence of the stars and of the sea
let me be sad
the darkness
be in me as the eternal moods
braided and woven
when freedom from her mountain height
shadows lay along broadway
i burn no incense
the fragrance came
babylon-where i go dreaming
our pleasant moments fly
