baby poem

o fair and stately maid, whose eyes
the child who threw away leaf after leaf
melancholy, blue it was
in the cloud-gray mornings
is there anybody there
stay no more
she burst fierce wine
what spiteful chance steals unawares
i flung my soul to the air like a falcon flying
i saw with open eyes
