wedding poem

sun stepped down from his golden throne
a mile behind
be not false
beneath the warrior's helm
within my hand i hold
within this lowly grave a conqueror lies
the pale day drowses on the western steep
a bird sang
i loathed you
sweet splendor
the hypocritic days
